Foundation of SEG by Mr. Werner Schmitz and Mr. Kurt Leyendeckers in Krefeld, Germany.
Start of switchboard production, electronic protection devices and gen.-set controls.

Completion of the new works at Kempen, Germany.
1979
First patent granted for a method for mains decoupling of power plants at mains failure.
1985
Consolidation of AVK and SEG into AVK SEG Holding GmbH & Co KG.
Introduction of the WI Line with CT (self-) powered protection relays.
1990
Market introduction of the High Tech Line - a complete line of digital protection relays for any protection requirement.
2001
Consolidation of AVK, SEG and NEWAGE with re-structuring of the individual business segments.
2006
SEG acquired by Woodward Governor Co from Colorado USA

Launch of HighPROTEC range of protection and control relays
