Following the successful supply, installation and commissioning of a 24V DC UPS system for Shell Galleon, AVK|SEG (UK) LTD has been awarded the contracts to supply further systems for Shell Ketch and Shell Corvette to provide power to essential services for these unmanned platforms in the southern North Sea. Proven reliability and easy maintenance were prime requirements for these contracts.

The systems consist of dual 100% rated rectifiers with 50% rated sealed lead acid batteries providing 24 hour standby, with up to 10,000A/h of battery power.
