T Mobile selected AVK|SEG (UK) Ltd Power Solutions Providers to supply standby generation. This fasttrack project was initiated from a requirement to enhance the capability within one of T Mobile Switch Centres.

The system provided by AVK|SEG (UK) Ltd consisted of 2 x 825kVA generators required to be located in the existing building in a ‘shoe horn’ fashion  due to the height restriction of the premises. In addition the generator control panel was located in a separate area of the building. Installation was also carried out of a 30,000 litre underground storage tank together with 2 x 1000 litre day tanks with transfer system.

Room attenuation was to meet 65dBA at the site boundary and a separate ventilation fan  was installed for temperature control set at 25 degrees centigrade. An SEG G59 relay was fitted in the LV switchboard as was a new Kerys controller.

This AVK|SEG (UK) LTD installation is in addition to previous projects as follows:-

T Mobile Corporate offices in Hatfield, Hertfordshire – 2 x 375kVA containerised Generators.
T Mobile Switch Centre, Warwick Road, Borehamwood – 1400kVA open set.
T Mobile Croydon – 500kVA containerised generator
