Load Bank Hire
As part of our service to our customers AVK|SEG (UK) Ltd has purchased a number of fully adjustable 1000kW resistive load banks for commissioning and testing of diesel generator and uninterruptible power supplies. The load banks are rated to operate from a 415V +/-6%, 3 phase – 4 wire, 50Hz source. The load banks are mounted upon a road trailer and are also suitable for lifting from the trailer by a four point lifting frame.
Testing & Reporting
The load bank is available for hire at competitive rates and can be delivered direct to your site. Our qualified engineers can also undertake the load test and provide an independent comprehensive report of the test results utilising PC system software that provides enhanced load control and full data acquisition capabilities, including transient waveforms. Special rates are available for multi-site or application customers.
The load banks can be adjusted by either a hand held controller or by a PC that has the PC system software installed (available under license). Adjustment steps are 1kW so that precise control can be maintained over the test and the load bank can also be programmed for automatic time and load step intervals.
APPLICATIONS
Uninterruptible Power Supplies: Testing the performance of a UPS module or modules, switchgear and cabling to ensure that it meets the design criteria.
Diesel Generator Systems: Short or long term load testing of diesel generator sets including transient load steps at timed intervals.
Diesel Generator Ancillaries: For testing the diesel generator under load to ensure that the fuel system, cooling, exhaust and ventilation systems operate correctly.
Temperature Testing: Load testing of plant incorporating switchgear, transformers, generators and UPS systems.
Batteries: Testing of UPS system battery autonomy times
Service Organisations: For testing of plant equipment.
Overload Testing: Testing of the overload capabilities of plant including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS systems, transformers etc.
Combined Heat and Power: The load bank can be used as a load for CHP plant testing and maintenance.
Factory Tests: The load bank can be used at the manufacturer's works for load testing and customer demonstrations.
